Hi there!

I'm Rachel — a lifelong creative and the owner and lead designer behind Wishflower.

My path into floristry wasn't traditional. I started as a self-taught designer working with silk flowers, then spent years as a flower farmer — work that gave me an intimate understanding of how different blooms behave, how far they can be pushed, and how to coax the most beautiful, unexpected design out of them. That hands-on relationship with flowers, from seed to centerpiece, shapes every arrangement I create today.

That background also means sustainability isn't an afterthought for me — it's built into how I design. My clients get thoughtful, elevated florals without having to choose between beauty and responsibility.

What is a wishflower?

In folklore dating back as early as the 1800’s, dandelions - also known as “wishflowers” - have been known for their wish granting magic. Girls would often make romantic wishes by blowing on the seeds and hoping the entirety of the seeds would be dispersed into air, bringing their wishes and dreams come to fruition. This tradition, now practiced by boys and girls alike, is a reminder to stop and smell the roses (or dandelions), breathe in life’s special moments,  and embrace a child-like sense of wonder when the occasion allows.
