A Season of Adaptation

Colorado drought- a brief update.

Like many farmers across Colorado, we’ve felt the impact of this year’s drought. Reduced rainfall/snow and challenging growing conditions have affected crop yields throughout the state, including here at Wishflower Farms.

As a result, we’ll be sourcing a larger portion of our flowers from outside Colorado than we typically prefer. While this isn’t our ideal, we’re committed to maintaining the quality our couples and clients expect while staying true to our values.

Sustainability remains at the heart of our work. We continue to prioritize:

  • Reusable floral mechanics and plant-based floral foam whenever possible

  • Composting floral waste and organic materials

  • Sourcing flowers as close to home as possible, with a strong preference for U.S.-grown blooms

Farming has always required flexibility, and this season is a reminder that supporting local agriculture means adapting alongside the weather. We’re grateful for your support as we navigate these challenges and continue creating beautiful, sustainable floral designs. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out!
