September begins

It’s been a hot September here in Colorado, which—based on last year—is not too surprising. We’re gearing up for fall planting soon, and the fields are full of activity.

On the farm, our heat-loving cut-and-come-again flowers are working hard to keep producing beautiful blooms. (The more you cut them, the more they grow!) At the same time, many of our spring flowers are going to seed. We’ve started collecting seeds for next year, including some resilient varieties that survived this summer’s hailstorms. From those hardy fighters, we’ll be able to save seed and look forward to even stronger plants in the future.

Beyond the fields, we’ve been hard at work on something equally exciting: wedding floral design. This season alone, we’ve had the honor of serving seven couples in just three months! From bridal bouquets and boutonnieres to full ceremony installations, creating personalized designs has quickly become one of my favorite aspects of working with flowers.

As a Denver wedding florist (and serving couples all across the Colorado Front Range), nothing brings us more joy than transforming locally grown blooms into unforgettable wedding flowers. We can’t wait to keep designing, keep growing, and keep helping couples bring their floral dreams to life.

We had a blast with this colorful wedding and loved using pink and orange dahlias, magenta zinnias, and white cosmos! The citrus vibes were popping!
